EBay Buying Tools

There are many simple tools that Ebay offers that really can make buying much easier. You can find them on the top of the My Ebay screen when you log in. It can provide a great way to stay organized.

Tools: My Summary

The My Summary screen will show you what you are currently buying or selling on Ebay. It will show you any announcements from Ebay. And it can sets you up with reminders about items you need to take care of, such as making a payment or leaving feedback. You can customize this screen to show only what you want by clicking on Customize Summary. You'll find other good tools here as well.

Watching

This screen is your watch list -- auctions that you have decided are important, but you haven't bid yet. You can watch an item simply by clicking on the Watch this item icon on the description page. You can easily delete it too, should you change your mind.

Bidding

Here you will find the items you have current bids on. Those in green are open and you are winning, red are those that you have been outbid on and you have the option to bid again.

Best Offers

This is the place to go to see all of the offers that you have made on Buy It Now auctions. Did the seller accept them? Find out here.

Won and Didn't Win

Once an auction is over, things move here. You can then choose the action to take, depending on how far along you are. For example, you can pay here, tell the seller you sent the payment, leave feedback or do other after auction things. Of course, you should continue all of these steps until they are complete. Blue icons will show you where you are in the process and whether the seller left you any feedback.

But you needn't worry about checking the My Ebay page continuously to know what is happening. Ebay will send you an email when something happens. You'll be able to click a link and go right where you need to be to manage your account.
